On this day, amidst the bustling of finalizing my research proposal and collecting papers for literature review, our advisor, also the head of the Reproductive Biotech Lab, planned a day trip for all members to Doi Inthanon National Park, Thailand's highest mountain and a popular destination both for foreign and domestic tourists.
The rundown for the trip was:
1. Watching the sunrise at the viewpoint
2. Going to the highest point of the mountain and a short walk to the rainforest
3. Exploring Inthanon pagodas
4. Going on a trail at Kew Mae Pan
Here is some documentation of our journey.
We were guided to a fantastic place full of cherry blossoms in bloom. I thought it was endemic to Japan and could only grow there. Turned out, this was what it felt like to be shaded by Cherry blossoms.
At the end of the day, we had dinner with freshly graduated students who were also previous lab members.
All in all, it was full of joy escaping from the hustling by experiencing new places, new vibes, meeting new people, and bonding with them (I guess so).
